michillinda lodge resort is a beautiful getaway with great views of lake michigan. the property is well maintained and has plenty of amenities. i particularly appreciated the excellent service from ms. shampoo at the front desk. she was friendly and helped us feel welcome from the start. it’s a great spot for families or couples!
some of the wildflowers along the walkways could use trimming for easier access to the viewing areas.

I really enjoyed my stay, especially hanging out at the sun terrace and taking in the lovely views of the lake from the deck. The peaceful atmosphere was perfect for relaxing, although the shared kitchen could use a bit more organization. Overall, it was a great spot for a getaway, just remember to pack your own snacks! 🌊

Perfect Getaway for Family with Kids
The views from our cabin were just fine! We spent our evenings by the fire pits, toasting marshmallows and reminiscing about the day's adventures.
It wasn’t inexpensive, but for the experience, it was still acceptable!

beautiful views but uneven beach access
The location boasts stunning views of the water, especially during sunset. I enjoyed the well-maintained property and the relaxing lower viewing deck area that invites peaceful moments by the waves. The variety of amenities kept us busy throughout our stay, and the lake view was a definite highlight.
The beach access is less than ideal, with some concerning debris and unstable dunes.

missingWrote a review on Aug 06cozy roomawesome viewscharming vibetight bathroomoutdated furniture
The room was cozy but real small. The bathroom was tight, especially for my tall husband. No TVs or phones, which was fine since we were busy exploring anyway. The furniture felt a bit outdated, and the views were awesome, but it definitely gave off an old-school vibe. The charm is there, but some little things could use a refresh. Overall, comfy enough for a chill stay, just know it’s not super modern.

missingWrote a review on Aug 02beach experienceclean accommodationssteep stairslack of modern amenitiesflavorless eggs
Staying here provided a truly relaxing experience, complemented by the soothing sound of waves from Lake Michigan. The beach was a highlight, with beautiful sand and the ability to enjoy warm sunbathing, but accessing it via steep stairs can be a challenge. The accommodations, while charming and clean, lacked modern amenities like TVs and air conditioning. Dining was enjoyable, especially the salmon, but mornings would benefit from a touch more flavor in the eggs.

would definitely go back
Staying in a lakeside room was amazing. The waves at night were so calming. The breakfast had fresh fruit, coffee, and eggs included, which was a nice touch. There's a heated pool to chill out by. A beach and lots of fun family activities. You can’t beat the sunset views over the lake, just breathtaking.
